With the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Japan, many companies are trying remote work for the first time. This abrupt shift has created many challenges, but also is serving as a great experiment into the viability of it. This event will be a discussion among all participants about how their company is approaching remote work, what challenges they're facing, and what successes they've had with it.
Whatever your job title is, be it CTO, head of engineering, lead developer, or something else, you're the top technical person in your organization. While you once spent most of your time coding, these days you're consumed with things like hiring developers, communication with other stakeholders, and improving processes. Because this event is based around peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, we ask you only participate if you're in such a position. It was great talking to all of you on remote working and working from home. I hope we managed to give some value which you'd find useful in your.
As promised, I would like to invite you to our public once-a-month LearnDay@Xoxzo, where 2 people from our team will be presenting something of interest and we all get to talk or discuss about it.
Working remotely presents a challenge by not having enough chances to practice presenting ideas by voice and this is one of the ways that we try to overcome this.
We'll have our next session this Friday (3/27) at 7PM JST for an hour.
